Digital Download Buying Guide

How do I get the download?
When you've completed your payment, you'll be redirected to a page where you can configure your download. Your SVGs arrive in a zip file by email, typically after a minute or less.
What comes in the zip file?
The zip file contains
  • the SVG file containing all of the colors in the stencil
  • the full-res JPG file of the image containing all colors
  • individual SVG files containing just the individual colors (separated out)
  • individual bridged files, and bridges in the following formats
    • SVG (scalable vector graphic--Silhouette, Cricut, Muse, GlowForge using CorelDraw, Inkscape, Lightburn)
    • JPG (raster graphics format--for everything else)
  • individual JPG files of the bridged stencil layers
  • a simulated image of the painted stencil

How do I use it?
You can make your stencil several ways:
  • Print out each bridged stencil file and cut your stencil using the printed file as a template
  • Use the vector file with a craft cutter to cut the stencil
  • Use the vector file with a laser cutter to cut the stencil
  • Supply the vector file to a commercial cutting service
  • Project the unbridged files onto a surface and paint by hand

Tip #1:
Faces: catch the shadows
Faces make great stencils! If you want to take a picture of someone's face to make a stencil from, make sure the person's face is lit from the side so that shadows fall across the face and accentuate the best details of the face.
